We left our anchorage at 7:15 this morning and notice right away we were travelling 15% faster than yesterday, how strange. Thought maybe the Alabama water was more slippery or gravity increased as we got closer to the equator (found out later the rains up north had the current really rolling). Because of the added speed we were actually in our marina, fueled up, pumped out, and tied down by 1:00. It was shortly after that we noticed the weather changing... for the worse. Over the next 2 hours we had torrential rain, high winds, lightening, and hail.
Better lucky than good!
Tomorrow we plan to travel 101 miles to Bobby's fish camp, our longest leg of our journey. I expect the current will help us along.

Weather Warning on ships radar.
The little black boat is us docked in the marina (not showing because it's brand new) and the red block designates the severe weather warning area.
