I returned to Key West Thursday night with intentions of sailing out Friday morning. We planned to reach Miami by Monday and change crews on Tuesday. Friday morning was awful. We had thunderstorms, high winds, small craft warnings, and a tornado ripped through Big Pine Key ( just 25 miles from us). Needless to say we didn't leave Friday and the small craft advisory continued this morning with 4 to 7 foot waves on the ocean/gulf. The weather is supposed to improve tomorrow. Miami by Tuesday?
