Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo in Manhattan

OK girls, I have a recipe for you. This is an original, simple, "Whatever It Takes" gourmet  meal prepared with a medium pot and electric fry pan (the gourmet part may be a stretch).

one lb uncooked shrimp
1/2 box fettuccini noodles
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
1/4 cup virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme

Cook shrimp by adding frozen shrimp to boiling water. Bring water back to boil and cook for 3 minutes. Cool shrimp in ice water. Pour olive oil and sprinkle lemon pepper into fry pan and set heat on 350. Add shrimp to hot oil and sear them to light brown then turn heat down to 200. Add milk, soup, butter, salt, pepper, and thyme to shrimp/oil in fry pan and stir until smooth. Boil fettuccine noodle per box instructions, rinse and mix into sauce in fry pan. cover and simmer at 200 for 30 minutes.
We had this for dinner tonight and it turned out great.

Oh yea, we cruised from Barnegat Bay to New York City today. After 5 hours on the water, we were fueled up and docked by 3:30 at Liberty Landing Marina directly across the river from Manhattan. The ocean was smooth and we saw a few Atlantic Bottle Nosed Dolphins (to early for the Lake Michigan dolphin migration).

Lots the fishing boats out today after missing 5 days work.

Manhattan 5 miles out

The Lady is shining bright.

View from our boat.

Docked right behind us.

Home for the night.
