A little good weather = 100 miles

The Coast Guard lifted the small craft advisory and we left Norfolk at 7:40 this morning. The day started with 3 foot waves rolling in from the ocean but as we move up the Chesapeake the waves dropped to 1 - 2 feet and we moved right along. Our original goal was 80 miles, we actually went 100 miles and are docked on the lower Potomac. With a little luck we will reach Chesapeake City at the top of the Bay tomorrow.

I made a Delicious dinner tonight. Chicken spaghetti with jalopena peppers. It's a good thing the crew was hungry.

Smiths Point Lighthouse on Chesapeake Bay, waves 1 - 2 feet.

My navigator around 2:00 in the afternoon.

The navigators dog.

Finally! Moe has caught fish all over the world but this 5 inch Striper was his finest catch.

Sunset on the Potomac River.

  1. 100 miles! Way to go! Is that a personal best on this boat?
