BIG FISH, catch it Dad...



Kathy loved to ice fish. Today I was reminded of the time a giant Muskie(that's a fish) swam under the hole Kathy was fishing through. Kat always watched the fish through the hole in the ice and selected the perch she wanted to catch. She would move her minnow away from the small ones and jig the bait in front of the larger fish. A huge Muskie swam under her ice hole towards mine and she shouted "Catch it Dick". Hell, the damn thing wouldn't have fit through the hole!!

 About lunch time today we had a dolphin cruising alongside the boat. I grabbed the camera and waited for it to surface and Tucker was right next to me staring down into the water. The dolphin surfaced right under his nose and he shouted "CATCH IT DAD".

We traveled from Beaufort  to Wilmington NC today inside the Barrier Islands. Being Saturday with beautiful weather,  2/3rds of the population of NC were on the water.



There are a fair amount of bridges on the ICW and you have to pay attention to the currents or...

something bad can happen (we didn't do this).

Absolutely the ugliest lighthouse ever. Kat always said there should be a law against pink house paint.
